Epiphyllum anguliger // fishbone cactus
Why I love this plant
MY PERSONAL ALL TIME FAVOURITE!!!!
They flower (huge white flowers that smell wonderful but don’t last long at all. These flowers are a real special occasion when they come into flower.
They are super easy and they have really interesting foliage and I just love how cool they are!
———————————————————
A little tip
Take a time lapse of the flower opening, it’s truly spectacular.
———————————————————
Pot size // 10cm coir pot
Grown in Cornwall, UK using peat-free compost and chemical-free, biological plant care.
———————————————————
Growing
Country of origin // Mexico
Position // Bright in-direct area. Great on window sills that don’t receive full sun all day.
———————————————————
Care
Difficulty // easy care
Light // bright, indirect sunlight. Direct sun might scorch the needles. Insufficient light will turn them yellow.
Water // Water sparingly but don’t allow the soil to become bone dry. Their foliage let’s you know when they are desperate for a drink by becoming slightly shriveled…but it’s good to water before this happens.
Feed // Feed every 2-3 weeks during the growing season
Humidity // isn’t necessary but is enjoyed. Warmth is very much enjoyed.
Pets // Pet friendly
