Ficus elastica 'Robusta' // rubber tree
Why I love this plant
This gorgeous rubber tree is a simple to look after houseplant that can have immediate impact once at a good height. If fed well and looked after accurately this plant will be wonderful in a medium to brightly lit space in your home, but please no direct sun as this will scorch it’s leaves.

A little tip
To thicken your plant at the base, pinch the tips of new growth. This creates bushy and lateral growth. Remember by pruning your plants you are actually taking care of their needs.
———————————————————
Pot size // 2 litre recycle plastic pot
Grown in Cornwall, UK using peat-free compost and chemical-free, biological plant care.
———————————————————
Growing
Country of origin // Southern Africa
Position // bright indirect light
———————————————————
Care
Difficulty // easy care
Light // bright, indirect sunlight. Direct sun will scorch the leaves. Insufficient light will turn them yellow.
Water // keep moist but don’t saturate. This plant is forgiving so allow the plant to dry slightly between watering. A light weighted pot will be ready for a water
Feed // can be fed biweekly during the growing season
Humidity // not necessary but is enjoyed. - ensure you wipe the leaves of dust as this can effect the plants health as it might struggle to photosynthesise.
Pets // not pet friendly to dogs and cats that like to chew.
Description
This deeply dark rubber tree is so striking. The leaves give off a polished look with its darkness adding a bit of mystery to the plant.
